As part of the BRIDGITISE Training School, the Doctoral Candidates (DCs) participated in a hands-on session on visual bridge inspection, led by Fred Westenberg. Students were guided through the inspection of real bridges in Twente region, learning to identify visible damage and perform non-destructive tests. In connection with the 1^st training school, the DCs focused on the compilation of inspection findings, using standards such as NEN 2767. The course was an engaging and practical introduction to the essential role of visual assessment in bridge maintenance and safety.
