Highlights from the Consortium meeting in Bari

The second BRIDGITISE Consortium Meeting was held on November 14 -15, 2024, in Bari, Italy, and was organized by Politecnico di Bari. This meeting brought together DCs and project partners to discuss progress and future directions for BRIDGITISE.

Members of the External Advisory Board, including Prof. Jesús Rodríguez Santiago (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), Dr. Marianna Loli (Grid Engineers), and Prof. Helmut Wenzel (Wenzel Consult), participated in the discussions, contributing valuable insights to the project’s development.

PhD Opportunity: Join the BRIDGITISE Project and Innovate the Future of Bridge Design!

Are you ready to make an impact in bridge engineering? We’re seeking a talented PhD candidate for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) BRIDGITISE project, in collaboration with industry leaders Ramboll, North Consulting, and Politecnico di Milano. This 36-month position offers a chance to advance bridge design codes by integrating cutting-edge data methodologies.

BRIDGITISE kickoff meeting

The kickoff meeting of the BRIDGITISE project was held on January 24th and 25th, with Professor Maria Pina Limongelli serving as the Project Coordinator. The meeting kicked off the project in style! All the partners gathered around the table for some fruitful brainstorming.

“The bridge integrity management sector lags in digitalization compared to other industries. To fill this gap, academia and industry must collaborate closely, with a focus on needs-driven research and knowledge transfer” said the Coordinator. BRIDGITISE will take up these challenges, proposing a new paradigm for the first Industrial Doctoral Network within the EU that will pave the way to the training of new generations of researchers and professionals with expertise in digital BrIM. But hey, it wasn't all business! the kick-off meeting was also a chance for the partners to get to know each other better and have a blast in beautiful Milan!
