Training

To reach project objectives BRIDGITISE adopts a Training to a Research approach.

A very competitive training program is guaranteed to all the Doctoral Candidates involved, ensuring the acquisition of skills that match current industrial needs.

The training program is structured into three training levels:

BRIDGITISE

includes three training levels.

TL1

Individual Training Level: All candidates will be registered in the PhD schools of a university within the consortium. Each candidate will have a Personal Career Development Plan created and co-supervised by both an academic and an industrial partner. This collaborative approach enables the integration of foundational and experimental research training from academia with practical experience contributed by the industry.

TL2

Cluster Training Level: The 16 Ph.D. positions are organized into three distinct clusters, mirroring the project’s organizational structure. In each cluster, doctoral candidates will engage with the hands-on application of digital tools in the bridge industry, tackling technical and commercial challenges from concept to realization.

TL3

Network Training Level: Each BRIDGITISE doctoral candidate will participate in Training Schools comprising three 5-day events. These sessions, collaboratively organized and developed by both academic and industrial partners, aim to provide students with progressively in-depth knowledge. The Training Schools will cover various aspects related to the digitalization of bridge management, addressing the key themes explored in the three BRIDGITISE research areas.
